Matthew John Rizzo
Rochester, NY - Matty passed away peacefully in the loving comfort of his family on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Born on April 29, 1969 in Rochester, he is survived by his parents Christie and Anthony Rizzo; children Michaela (Alex) Zambrana, and Noah; brothers Tony (Nina), Paul. Matty enjoyed his grandson Sylas and his similar spirit for life. Especially loved by his nephews and nieces, Uncle Matty is fondly remembered.
Matty's love for cooking, playing guitar and music gave him great joy with family and friends. His beautiful blue eyes and infectious smile will live in the hearts of all who know him.
Visitation for Matt will be held on Thursday, April 18 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm at Bartolomeo and Perotto Funeral Home, 1411 Vintage Lane, Rochester, NY 14626. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Friday April 19 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Street, Rochester, NY 14604.
