Joe was a wonderful friend to many people throughout his life. He did much for the Charlotte and nearby religious communities. He will be sorely missed by me and many other people

I had the pleasure to meet Joe when I was just starting out as a "Rookie" fireman. And right from the start, I knew he was just as nice a person you could ever want to meet. A great fireman but more so a great human being. He was good friends with my dad Dante who having had worked with him and attended together so many RFD, and Union functions, clam bakes etc., also thought so very highly of him. He was truly the "Mayor of Charlotte" along with his wife Jean and they did so much for the Charlotte community. thanks for your service, Joe. I' m so very sad to hear of Joes passing. And my prayers and condolences are with his Loving family.
He will surely be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him.

Joe and I met at Engine 11/Truck 3 on Mount Reed Blvd and Emerson Street. We soon became fast friends and We shared a valued friendship which included our families. We dubbed Joe the "Mayor of Charlotte" as he was very involved in the Community of Charlotte . which included Ontario Beach Park, where our union (Local 1071) held their annual MDA Picnic; and the Retirees Association held their Retirees Picnic. Joe always made sure that we were well cared for. Working with Joe was always a fun time. Joe was a good Firefighter and had a compassion for the Rochester Community that he served. There are too many accolades to list here. Let me end by saying to the Carrozzi family, Your father was a super great guy and truly has left his loving mark on all who knew him.. May You Rest In God's Love, My Friend.

The memories I have of Joe and Jean are few and far between. But they are leaving a huge legacy behind. First, in the family they loved, raised, and cherished. Second to the community they loved. May God bless their family and friends with peace and joy at this time. With my condolences, Lori Smith
