On November 2, 1936, our mom, Therese Cecile Fournier Aubry was born in the small, quaint village of Farmpoint, Quebec. She was the eldest of seven children (5 sisters and 1 brother). Although this large family lived in a small house of modest means; Mom always emphasized how they lacked for nothing, and the home was always kept in pristine condition. She learned early on to take care of what you had with much pride. At the age of 19, she landed her first job working as a maid for the Prime
Minister of Canada. During her time there, she learned how to set an elaborate table. In addition to making beds, folding, and ironing linens in a precise and formal manner. She took great pride in these tasks and continued them in our family home. This attention to detail extended in the way Mom presented herself. She was always well dressed, coordinating her outfits with accompanying accessories. Oftentimes, Dad would get the good fortune to be a part of this in a matching couple's ensemble.

On April 27, 1957, she married our father, Claude, and soon started their family, welcoming Roger, Yves and Maurice over the next few years. In 1964, this young family courageously embarked on a journey to the United States for opportunities that would provide the family a better life. Without speaking the language or knowing where they would be staying, they packed up a trunk with their belongings and boarded a train to Los Angeles. In 1966, they welcomed a baby girl, Liza, to complete their family. Shortly thereafter, their quest for opportunity continued. So, with a six-week-old infant the family headed out across the country with a car and U-Haul trailer in tow to Rochester, NY. In 1970, Mom started a job working at Rochester Products and continued for 22 years. Mom also went back to school to earn her GED, an accomplishment she was very proud of. For many years, she enjoyed planning and hosting wonderful parties for her and dad's Canadian friends. These parties were full of laughter with an endless assortment of foods and guests playing various instruments (Mom included, with her guitar, and Dad on the Harmonica) into the early hours of the morning!

Mom enjoyed many activities during her lifetime such as: painting, crocheting, vacationing and bingo, but we all agree the activity at the top of the list was playing cards! As we reflect on our memories of Mom, we remember her wittiness, honesty, cleanliness and attention to detail and order, most of all her faith and love for her family. We love you with all our hearts Mom! Repose en Paix.
