Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ross Clary, 43, of Rochester, NY, on October 3, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Shauna; his son, Liam; stepdaughter, Abby; niece, Emma; nephews, Ethan, and Evan; mother, Susan; sister, Shalena; brother, Ryan; nephews, Matthew and Trevor, and many others.

Ross was predeceased by his father, Roger Clary, as well as both his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Ross grew up in Ovid, NY, and attended South Seneca Central School. He was involved with everything he could fit into his schedule, as long as it didn't conflict with baseball. He started playing baseball as soon as he was able to sit up and played in every league he could get involved with. After high school, he played ball at MCC and RIT. Ross earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering while at RIT. He was employed by SPX Flow, Inc.

Ross and his father shared their passion for baseball daily. Ross became a coach of his son's little league team and was Vice President of Baseball, Umpiring Chief, and Head of Training for Greece Little League.

His love for baseball was only surpassed by the feelings he had for his family, starting with the birth of his son Liam. Ross then met the love of his life and soulmate Shauna. They married on July 9, 2018. He lovingly accepted Shauna's daughter, Abby, as his own and then later welcomed into their home, Shauna's niece and nephews, Evan, Emma, and Ethan as members of their immediate family.

He would do anything for his family, friends, coworkers, and community, and would give the shirt off his back to complete strangers if he saw the need.

Ross's hobbies also included woodworking, fishing, golfing, camping, music, and watching sunrises and sunsets. He always had multiple projects going at one time. Unlike his father, he completed most of the projects he started.

No one on this earth will ever be able to replace the void Ross left. His memory will be forever celebrated in our hearts.

Ross's life story will be shared during his visitation, Monday, October, 9th from 1-3 pm & 6-8 pm as well as Tuesday, October 10th from 10 am - 12 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, 14626. His funeral service will follow visitation on Tuesday at 12 Noon.
