Patricia Ann Pitts (Bama)
Rochester- On June 27th, 2023 after a brief illness, passed on to her Heavenly home at 92 years of age. She was born on March 7, 1931 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Survived by children, Margaret Sztaba, Jeanette (Jim) Smith, Michael Pitts, and Keith Pitts; grandchildren, Lisa (Carl) Legno, Angela (John) Vito, Stacey Wawrzyniec, Melissa Vella, Jeannine (Al) Trippodo, Kevin (Cheryl) Cleary, Kelly (Tim) Gawronski, Brandon (Holly) Smith, David Andolina, Cameron (Tera) Smith; great-grandchildren, Jaclyn and Anthony (Suki) Legno, Zinnia and Zander Vella, Ava Wawrzyniec, Addyson and Austin Trippodo, Hannah and Rylan Cleary, Harrison, Linden and Grant Gawronski, Grayson Smith, and Quade and Colleen Smith; great-great-grandchildren, Dominic and Brandon Mendola; sister-in-law, Norma McCurdy of Malden, Massachusetts; many many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Pitts.
A lifelong resident of Rochester, NY, she was employed at Strong Memorial Hospital and Genesee Hospital in the business offices. Her compassionate heart then led her to volunteer at Rochester General Hospital for many years.
She loved her feline companions all of her life and enjoyed sewing and cooking for family and friends.
She was our family's steadfast example of strength, perseverance, and independence. She touched all our hearts deeply and was a dear friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all.
Patricia's life story will be shared during her visitation on Sunday, July 2nd from 2-6 PM at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane, 14626. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 3rd at 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave., 14616, followed by her burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of contributions, please be kind, generous, and compassionate to all.
