I have tears in my eyes while writing this note. I (we) have lost a true friend and a valuable member of our extended family I was going to call to check on you but never made the call. ... 'There is always tomorrow'. That is almost always not true! We got the call just today that you had passed. You and 'Sue' know that Doris and I would have been there to say goodbye. You were and are the best. All those years that that we were neighbors on Dorian Lane seem so long ago. Those pool parties, dinners and the time that Chris helped you paint the wrought fence. The friendship, care and love will be in our hearts until we meet again. You were a hero in the war and you are a hero in our hearts!
God speed and love you 'my Brother'! Miss You!!!

I remember Uncle Charlie always with a smile on his face. I remember him convincing my mom (his older sister Annette) that it was a good thing to let me skip school to see the game. After the game, Skinnies on Goodman and Norton was the place to go for a slice or hot dog while the adults preferred the steamed clams. The best of times was on Saturday’s when my mom hosted impromptu breakfast. Her waffles were always the best. Her brothers Dom, Charlie and Al (with Terry) had standing invitations and when we all showed up, there would be 10 to 15 people. Mom put in a lot of work getting everything just right but that is what she loved. Family quality time at its best. Not only was Charlie a decorated WWII veteran, he was a kind and loving soul. I am honored to be there with him in his final days. Love & remembrance always, David DiMora

Uncle Chuck was a fantastic uncle and wonderful person. He took my brothers and I to many a Red Wings home opener and was always a strong support for my father and his 'baby brother' Al. He was the last surviving member of that generation. Heartfelt condolences to his bride of over 70-years, Aunt Sue. Love, nephew Dom (Donny) and wife Susan.

I remember when my uncle Chuck came home from the service walking in the door at my grandfather house. I was so happy that he came home alive and well I have nothing but happy times with him and my aunt Sue love. Love you Uncle Chuck May you be in peace and in the arms of God now. You are now with all your family now .
