Dear Adrianna, Franca, & Family,
Forty plus years ago, I met Josephine! At that time Josephine was in her late 50’s -- she was not only still physically very beautiful, she had a distinct aura of European culture, class, and unmistakable elan. Josephine’s vivid stories of life in Italy were always fun, fascinating, and a cause to pause.
Josephine was a co-worker and friend for may years. When she invited you to dinner at her home, Josephine left you wanting nothing, except maybe more.
Josephine’s children were the center of her universe, yet she had a lot of leftover love for everyone! And because of that, and even though it’s been many years since I’ve seen her, when I remember Josephine, I always smile softly and fondly.
Thank you for your friendship and the many memories, dear Josie! I know you are now probably making your delicious gnocchi for God and enjoying a refreshing 7 & 7!
Sending Much Love to Josie’s Family,
Mary Meyers

Josie,
You will be missed. Thank you for teaching me most of my cooking skills that I continue to carry on today. It was joy working with you throughout the years watching you create dishes (slipping me some) and we still serve one in your honor called Pasta Josephine. You and Frank had the best garden I have ever seen it was incredible how many varieties of vegetables and fruit trees you had. Even your flowers were amazing. Whenever I see a Peony I think of your yard. You were so thoughtful always sharing your bountiful harvest, dropping fresh basil and vegetables off on my porch and sharing with others. You were funny, you always made me laugh. You taught me some Italian words some I can and cannot repeat. You were the best. I will miss you Josie. You are now with Frank and John. Thank you for the forever memories. Rest in Peace Josie. Love you Nancy

Josephine was a loving, caring person who loved to entertain her cousins Irma , Loni , and Amy whenever Loni and Amy were home from Fl. She was always generous, letting me pick from her beautiful and bountiful garden.
We’d always ask at Mr. Dominic’s what Josephine made that day and made sure we ordered it!
Rest In Peace, dear Josephine

I had the great pleasure of being Josephine’s neighbor for over 40 years. I was a young mother and wife when we moved in. She became a good friend and teacher, like a second mother to me. I learned to cook “ The Italian Way” and to grow vegetables and when to harvest. I spent many evenings watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy with her. The best part was listening to all the stories of her family here and in Italy. They were her pride and Joy. Heaven has received a beautiful angel. (Karen Sperr)
