The Story of Miguel Angel Reyes Jr

Born in Rochester, NY at Rochester General Hospital on Feb 3, 1993, to Irene Marvin and Miguel Reyes. He was their first child together, their first son, and was named after his father. His siblings are Amanda 32, Antonio 25, Nissa 23, and Angela 15. Mickey was only a few days old Amanda dropped a tub of Vaseline on his head. It was the ongoing joke for the rest of his life that that was why he was the way he was. Mickey was a happy child whose smile would brighten every room. He was always smiling that big, beautiful smile. Unless he got a mosquito bite, then he would be very upset thinking he was going to get West Nile. He was always dressed in the best and had the newest Jordan's on. He loved his Jordans and had a huge collection. He enjoyed all sports. Especially Football and on Football Sundays he was dressed in his Dallas Cowboys gear. Nissa and Angela always remember seeing their big brother, their biggest fan, at their cheerleading competitions.

It was apparent when he was a freshman that he was a naturally gifted football player. Amanda remembers when Mickey was in high school, his school would call when he was absent, she would go home, and he and all his friends would be hanging out in the house. She yelled at them to get out of her house and get to school and they'd run scared. His former high school girlfriend Newpy recalls having to call Mickey every morning to wake him for school. He didn't want to use an alarm; he preferred her yelling at him. Newpy, Mickey, Anthony, and Evelyn would walk home from school every day. This one day Mickey had his bike but he wanted to walk with us so he told us we could all ride on this one bike. Of course, we all thought Mickey was crazy, but he told us one by one where to sit, and sure enough, all four of us rode the bike home. Mickey enjoyed music, he had a studio and spent many nights with his friends in that room. He graduated from Greece Arcadia in 2011. Mickey happily welcomed his first niece Gia in October of 2011, he always loved to spend time with her. Mickey's favorite holiday is Christmas, he loved giving to others. Mickey wanted to keep the Christmas magic alive in his little sister Angela and his little cousin Alyssa so always told them that the elf was real. Until the day they caught Irene moving the elf on camera. While Mickey and Antonio were living at Amanda's house, they kept leaving the lights on and all the doors unlocked. Amanda kept asking them to make sure that all lights were off, and doors were locked. However, her asking did not do any justice. So, she decides to take all their belongings (TV, PS games, money) in her room, then left and waited for them to come home and think they got robbed. It was so funny, and they still remember it to this day.

As a young adult, Mickey was an entrepreneur and became a very successful businessman. He bought his first house in 2015 at the age of 22. His first nephew Angelo Miguel, who was named after him, was born in January of 2015. He did anything for Angelo and was a big part of his life. He loved motorcycles; he owned several; four in one year. Mickey loved art and he expressed himself through his many tattoos.

On 1/1/2018 Mickey welcomed his first daughter Aliyah Rose (named by him). Since the day she was born she had him wrapped around her fingers. A memory Samantha remembers fondly while raising kids with Mickey is how he wrapped EVERY single gift for Christmas. Small or large, even the individual pieces of candy. In august of 2018, he welcomed his nephew Gianni; in January of 2018, he welcomed his niece Mia and Nephew Mateo. Lastly, his nephew Anthony Miguel (also named after his uncle) in February of 2020. On February 24th, 2021, Mickey welcomed his second daughter Victoria. Mickey was so happy to be a father again.

Mickey was devoted to his family and friends. He loved fiercely and would do anything for anyone. In 28 years of life, Mickey accomplished so much but he also did so much for other people.
