Dominic, Anita and family, I am really saddened to hear about Steve. He was a very special person. Always had a smile on his face and was genuinely interested in you and especially if you needed any help or advice. A few years ago he took me to the driving range to work on my golf game. Never had anyone listen so well and have the ability to see and describe ways to help you. He was an amazing coach! We had lunch after and had many laughs. Will really miss him!

To the family of Steve Palozzi,

I was and am truly sorry for our loss of a gifted, smart man who just happened to cut my hair. The many years I have gone to the Razor's Edge has been an interesting eclectic experience. Always a happy greeting and friendly atmosphere where I always learned something I didn't know. Steve and Dom as well have become friends, in the kind of the way you sometimes make friends your family. He will be sadly missed but forever in our hearts.
With our current state of life and health I am afraid I will not be attending the service on January 30, 2021. Please accept my apologies as I will be with you all in spirit.

Friends and Family of Steve,
My name is Tom. Steve called me Tommy boy!!! We were friends for over 40 years. The first time I met Steve was for a haircut in the mid-seventies. He was cutting my hair when he took out this portable heat lamp to dry my hair. It glowed a brownish orange. Anytime someone would walk by the shop he would point it at them and they would stare into the shop. We had great fun doing that. I knew after my first haircut with Steve we would be great friends.
Steve was my friend, he was the bother I never had. We would go bowling, golfing and dinner after each time I came in for a haircut. We had great times golfing and bowling. We also had great conversions over dinner. I will miss all of this. The best time we had was when we bowled together in a league setup by Dom, his brother. We won that league on the last night by ½ a point. That trophy is one of my prized possessions.
I will always remember the good times me and Steve shared and the honor of knowing him. I will not remember how he passed... but how he lived.
I will miss you Steve, we will all miss you.

Steve for over 40 years I have sat in Dom's chair and watched across the shop as you worked with care and great skill on your appreciative customers. You were a true craftsman at your trade. You always offered a warm welcome whenever anyone came into the shop and your kind words and your optimistic outlook on life was refreshing. You always had an opinion to offer on just about any topic of discussion from bowling and golf to growing wheat germ and politics. You have left a void in our lives but your reward is great as you have seen the face of God and live again in His glory.

To Dominic, Anita and all Steve's family, my wife and I offer you our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Simply moving forward with life after losing a loved one is difficult but I hope that you are able to LIVE forward, which will be the greatest way to honor Steve.

Truly a remarkable person with all the attributes that make someone special. For over my twenty years visiting his shop I was always treated like family, his engaging conversation and smile somehow made the day easier no matter what else was going on. I will truly miss his humor and grace as will all who knew him. And, while he will be missed here with us, I am certain St Peter is welcoming the newest addition to his staff. Rest well dear friend and thank you for being apart of my life.

Hello Dominic.
I was shocked and saddened to read that Steve had passed, and just after he retired.
Steve has been my only barber for the last 45 years. I always looked forward to
my appointments; Steve would always share some wisdom and especially golf advice.
His retirement was a disappointment, but this is a very sad day.
Stay well, Dominic.

I've known Steve since the early 70's at Gates Chili. He was a kind, sincere and caring person who will be greatly missed. Our times together at the shop were memorable and will stay with me forever. To the Palozzi family, my heart is with you all. Rest in peace as you are now with God and your wonderful parents.

I was introduced to Steve by Louie Izzo. It was 1975 or 76. He began as my barber and a damn good one for sure. But Steve quickly became my friend and a haircut soon morphed into a unique social experience. A haircut, sharing stories, a new nugget of knowledge and wisdom, and always, always lots of laughter. When Louie died, Steve told me that he preferred to think that Louie just moved away for a while and was not gone at all. That was a comforting thought. I shall prefer to think the same of my friend Steve.

Lou D'Angelo January 22, 2021

Rest in eternal peace Steve. You will be missed. Prayers for comfort are sent to Dominic, Anita and the Palozzi family.

When I heard the words that you were gone, it was as if time stood still. I have no words to express how all of us feel, losing a great friend like you is unthinkable. None of us will ever forget your smile or your kind words when we needed them. Our condolences to the Palozzi Family.

Oh Steve, we are so gutted to hear of this sad news. The world has lost one of the great ones. You were the most kind, gentle, generous persons we have ever known. You always gave of yourself. Your wisdom, your optimism, your spirituality has guided so many of your friends. Floyd's will never be the same without you. Our only consolation is that you are now in a place where there is no pain and no loneliness. The same cannot be said for those you left behind. This isn't how it was supposed to end.
We love you
