He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary J. (Ey) Short; children, John H. Short Jr., Doreen J. (Mark) Crane, Jackie M. (Richard) Smahol; grandchildren, Casey Crane, Nicole (Michael) Fry, Jessica Smahol; great grandson, Joshua; sister, Josephine (Leroy) Myers; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
History
Jack was a WWII Army Veteran, Pacific Fleet, 11th Airborne Division, 127 A/B Engineering BN. He retired from Kodak after 41 years of dedicated service. He loved his family very much and enjoyed making memories with them all. He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He liked to play horseshoes and baseball and especially loved bowling. He liked anything outdoors and liked to play cards, especially Euchre and Poker.
Donations
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack`s Memory to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd. Fairport, NY 14450.

BARTOLOMEO PEROTTO Funeral Home, Inc. 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.) Visiting Hours will be Friday March 25, 2005 from 2-4 7-9. All are invited to attend Jack`s Funeral Service on Saturday March 26, 2005 at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
