Dino was born September 18, 1942, in Batavia, NY to John & Josephine Giordano. His father was a WWII Veteran, after returning from his service John worked as a plumber, and did some maintenance work and he and Josephine were the owner-operators of the Oakfield Bowling Alley. Dino's father was the greatest impact on his life. Dino and his siblings, John & Maureen, grew up in Oakfield, NY, a small town just northwest of Batavia in Genesee County.
After graduating from Oakfield High School in 1960, Dino went on to Erie Tech. where he earned an associate's degree in Metallurgic Technology and also studied Management at RIT. He had excellent people skills and team-building abilities. He started a job at Gleason Works where he worked for 42 years before retiring in 2006.
Dino was a fun-loving, funny, and very likable guy who was easy-going and involved in activities with his friends at the Men's Club, Italian Club Cultasada, and Church. He enjoyed golfing with his many friends, playing cards, the Buffalo Bills, trips to the casino, and gardening. He loved to be outside and took great pride in his flowers and yard work. His favorite music to listen to was anything from, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, or Yanni.
In his 20's he met Ruth Ann, after getting married they spent 37 years together before she passed away in 2001. They enjoyed many trips and cruises with their children, Lisa & Dino. Family was the most important joy of his life.
Later in Dino's life, he met Gloria Jean Zaremba. They were together for 17 years and married for 4 years before her passing in 2021.
Dino had some funny sayings you could hear often like "two weeks and eleven days", or "I'm just resting my eyes". He was so caring, reliable, loyal, and kind. His legacy will live on in his children, Lisa & Dino, and his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
