Obituary
Josephine F. Sansone
Josephine F. Sansone is predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Antoinette Sansone. She is survived by her beloved sister, Dr. Frances M. Sansone and many close cousins and friends.
Josephine (fondly known as "Jo" to many), grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. She graduated from Marquette University where she earned her MA degree in Spanish Education and her BA in Music, specializing in piano performance. Jo lived in NYC and worked in the Library of Congress until moving to Milwaukee to teach High School Spanish.
From there, Jo settled in Minnesota where she taught High School Spanish in the Minnetonka Public Schools for 31 years. She loved teaching and was an inspiration to her students and peers.
Jo had an extraordinarily strong faith and was continually active in her church. She had a big heart and a generous spirit. She donated to more than six hundred non-profit organizations regularly.
Jo's passion for life took her on exciting adventures traveling the world. She loved savoring the diversity of the people, food, art, literature, culture, and customs of every place she visited.
She loved music, dancing, games, and celebrations. She was the most wonderful storyteller and could light up a room with her laughter and zest for life.
Most of all, Jo cherished the special times spent with her family and friends,
Jo will always be remembered as forever young. Her love and spirit will live on in the heart of every life she touched.
Josephine's graveside service will begin with family meeting at the Lake Ave. Gate of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave., Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 2:30 PM. Her service and entombment will take place in the Resurrection Garden Mausoleum.
