Caroline J. Ortolani " Carrie"
Rochester
Passed away peacefully on January 5, 2023 at age 96. Predeceased by her loving husband Christie of 68 years & her precious son Gary as well as brothers and sisters. Caroline is survived by her children; Joanne (Dr.Gene) Zito, Christine (Steven) Furia, daughter-in-law Julie Ortolani; grandchildren Stephanie (Peter) LoFurno & Christopher (Lyndsey Charles) Ortolani; great grandchildren Leo & Rocco LoFurno and Carmella Ortolani, sister-in-law Mary Ann Fanara; life long friend Mary Cassetta; several loving nieces and nephews.
Carrie was a long time resident of Charlotte and a dedicated parishioner of Holy Cross Church where she and Christie served in many capacities over the years. She also enjoyed a 25 yr career with the City School District as a meticulous bookkeeper in the Building and Grounds Dept. Carrie was a loving and kind person who always put others first. She had a deep relationship with the Lord and lived her Christian Values.
Special thank you to Dr. Daniel Mendelson and staff at The Jewish Home as well as her beloved son-in-law Dr. Gene Zito who provided excellent and compassionate care for her.
No Prior visitation. Caroline's Funeral Mass will be held on Friday January 13th at 10:30 am at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester NY 14612. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Holy Cross Church.
