Remembering Sandra Woodard

Sandra was born on March 27, 1944 in Rochester, NY to parents William Jennejohn and Cecelia Hall. William worked as a farmer, and Cecelia worked nights at Rochester Products. Sandra was an only child who learned the value of a good work ethic from both of her parents. Growing up, Sandra took joy in her pet parakeets and dog, and she passed this joy on to her children in later life with a pets of their own. She identified strongly with the Silent Generation ideals of Practicality, Thrift, Respect, and Loyalty.

Sandra attended Charlotte Elementary School and Monroe High School. In her youth, she met lifelong friends, "The Carols" (Carol Lawson and Carol Ryan). After completing her education, she worked in the high school office, Genesee Hospital, Kodak, and several other places. She was self-motivated and always strove to excel in her job. Outside of work, Sandra enjoyed playing cards (mostly Rummy), crocheting, knitting, and listening to Elvis Presley.

Gene McKinney and Sandra met and married in Rochester, NY. Their family included children; Steve, Greg, Cheryl, and John. Together, they traveled to the Caribbean, went on cruises, and enjoyed going out to family dinners. Sandra treasured her family and loved being a mom. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. She hated change, was faithful in God, and had an incredible sense of humor that will be remembered and missed by all.
