Wade had so many great qualities, he was loving, caring, funny, charming, dedicated, faithful, generous, hardworking, intelligent, understanding, trusting, courageous, adventurous, risk taker, and so much more. He would give you the greatest advice. Wade's passion was working on his Subaru, driving, and racing. He loved the water days when he was able to share his time with loved ones. Watching Tom Brady and the Patriots win always brought him joy. Wade spent his past time playing video games with his brothers, cousin, and friends. Wade was known for his great hugs, planning for the future, being the life of the party, and being someone everyone wanted to be around.

He is survived by his loving mother Rebecca Bentivegna, his dads Jeffrey Bentivegna and Wade Shadders, and siblings Janelle, Josh, Sebastian, and many others.

Wade was a gift from God that we will all treasure for the rest of our lives.

Remembering Wade Shadders

Wade was a thoughtful, caring, understanding, and forgiving person. He is remembered with love and admiration for his fun and adventurous nature. Wade was born on September 6, 1997 at Rochester General Hospital weighing 9lb 3oz. He was welcomed into the world by his mother, Rebecca Bentivegna; dads, Jeffrey Bentivegna and Wade Shadders; and elder sister, Janelle Shadders. Wade was later joined by younger siblings, Josh and Sebastian Bentivegna. Although Wade and his siblings didn't always agree as kids, they grew up to be friends and were very supportive of each other. Wade and Sebastian were especially close. From the beginning, Wade cared for and protected Sebastian. He was proud of his youngest brother and wouldn't let anyone tease Sebastian (except for himself).

Wade attended Bloomfield Elementary and Kirk Road Elementary. He went on to begin high school at Greece Arcadia and graduated with a Regents Diploma from Hilton High School. After completing his education, Wade earned his certifications as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Pool Service Technician, and Auto Mechanic. Throughout his time in school and at work, Wade was talented in his extracurriculars and hobbies. He enjoyed basketball, football, driving, air soft, swimming - even jumping off of cliffs! Wade aspired to achieve financial success and to be loved. Any job he had, he gave his all to and proved himself a dedicated worker.

Wade's happy place was his bright blue Subaru. He loved driving it, racing it, and even just sitting in it to think about life. He loved hearing the sound of the engine rev as he accelerated away from the starting line (or his driveway as he left the house). Oftentimes, Wade's late dog, Benny, could be seen in the front seat leaning out the window to catch the breeze. Wade and Benny's bond was profound and taking rides in the Subaru was just one of the many ways the pair made memories together.

Boating was another fond memory shared by Wade, his family, and friends. They went out together on Lake Ontario, Lake Powell, Lake Havasu, and Saguaro Lake. Wade was completely at home on the water - easily navigating the boat and bringing it in to shore. Back on land, he was an avid Patriots fan (just like his mom) and especially enjoyed watching Tom Brady win over the Buffalo Bills. If he wasn't watching football, Wade enjoyed Peaky Blinders and The Great Gatsby. He loved playing video games with his brothers, cousins, and friends. Wade was competitive in just about everything and gaming was no exception. Though it was all in good fun, he was known to make quite the racket when winning was in jeopardy.

Though he was generally a positive person, there were a few things Wade really disliked; losing things, talking in front of people, dishonesty, sweets, clutter, and seeing people hurting. He strove to be an honest and trustworthy person and would be the first to try to fix a problem when someone he cared about was struggling.

Faith was a very important aspect of Wade's life and something he shared closely with his mom. He was a Born Again Christian who loved God deeply. Reading the Bible was something that Wade did regularly, and he was always open to discussing scripture as it was an area of knowledge that he felt confident in.

Wade's friends were very important to him at all stages of life. Though there are too many to name here, Wade deeply valued the relationships he had with friends from Bloomfield, Hilton, Greece, and Arizona. From childhood to his adult years, Wade always cared about his friends.

As his family recalls, Wade's legacy was built on friendship. He loved, cared, and provided for the people in his life. He would do anything to make their lives better. At this point in time, Wade's family strives not only to reflect on his life, but to honor him by spreading the wonderful memories Wade blessed them with.
