Dear Family, May Uncle Dick rest in peace - Love, Joe, Aimee and Joe Cooke
Condolences as well to Dicks family. I too had many memories from OHCC. If I get to Saratoga next summer I’ll put a couple bucks on a pony. RIP oldest Eagles ball boy. Ted Vogt
Dick was a dear St. Charles '56 classmate known for his basketball skills. In later years, he and Gail helped to plan our 50th Reunion, adding ideas and humor. Dick was always so proud of his life and his family. I remember him invited us to his home after a Bill Gray's Reunion Luncheon a few years back. He went through every picture telling a story of each one in his "hall of fame" room. - A man of character - a Great Classmate - Rest in Peace and Love with Gail. Carol (Newman) Sharpe
Sympathy to all of the Schmidt family. I have so many fun memories of Dick. The corn hole boards he made for all of us. The fun in Saratoga, where he knew every restaurant. A lot of fun parties. I will always remember Schmitty for the fun times we had through many years.
My sincere condolences to the Schmidt family on Dick's passing. Dick always took good care of me at Oak Hill and we had many laughs. A great guy--I'll miss him. Pete Spina
I worked with Dick for many years while at Oak Hill. He was always fun to be around and treated everyone with the utmost respect! Please accept my condolences on the loss of your Dad.

The photo is of the St. Charles Borromeo 1959 Diocesan Basketball Tournament Champions. Dick Schmidt is standing at the far right of the photo. Dick was always a very competitive athlete and a good sport.
To Patrick, Heidi, Tracy and Eric. Deepest condolences on your loss. Rich was a great guy and was always the leader of all the fun. Great memories. I know it’s devastating but he is no longer in pain and is now reunited with your beautiful Mom. May he Rest In Peace.
To the Schmidt family, memories are what we have of Dick and his great love for life. Hidden Wood Drive was a great place to raise our family. It was where friends became family. You were all blessed with great parents. The Cook’s. Sue, Rob,Dan
