Obituary
William is predeceased by his wife, Sheila E. Sommers, parents, Charles & Hazel Sommers. He is survived by his children, Dr. Amy (Michael) Straub, Jeffrey (Susan) Sommers; grandchildren, Colleen Straub, Kevin Straub & Margaret Sommers; many nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends.
William graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He was an Eastman Kodak retiree and was the former treasurer of the North Greece Firemans District, where he volunteered for 36 years.
William's life story will be shared during his visitation, 2:00-4:00 pm & 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 4th. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am on Friday at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd., followed by his inurnment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Golisano Children's Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642 in his memory.
