Vincenzo's Life Story

Vincenzo was born on December 10, 1929 in Canandaigua, NY. He was welcomed into the world by parents Frank and Theresa Ceravolo and siblings Santo, Joe, and Tina. He was later joined by brothers Tommy and Rocky. Vincenzo lived through the Great Depression, WWII, Vietnam War, Civil Rights Movement, and the Cold War - even serving his country during the Korean War.

As a child, Vincenzo attended St. Mary's school and went on to high school at the Canandaigua Academy. Subsequently, he obtained his associate degree from Hudson Valley Tech and excelled in electrical engineering. Vincenzo worked as a technician at Xerox and served in the Air Force.

While stationed in Austria, Vincenzo met his beloved wife, Helen. Her family was in the area since her father was working for the government. They crossed paths in a local bowling alley, fell in love, and were married. The couple had two children: Frank James and Pamela Marie. Together, the family spent quality time visiting the grandparents in Canandaigua to make Sunday Sauce. (Vincenzo hated sauce from the jar - it had to be homemade!)

Vincenzo was social, outgoing, and loved to bust people's chops. In his free time, he loved bowling, eating, gathering with family, watching golf, football (go Bills!) and the Yankees. He liked to unwind by listening to Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, and Tom Jones or by watching some old westerns and shows about the Rat Pack. He shared his loving and generous spirit with animals, too. Buddy was his faithful companion until his passing last August, and Teddy was his new pal after Buddy's loss. Both dogs were dear to his heart, with Buddy sharing the food from his table and Teddy always waiting on the porch to greet him and keep him company.

Family was what mattered most to Vincenzo. Until the very end, he was always making sure the people he loved would be taken care of. He treasured his wife and children, and his family is the legacy he leaves behind. He was beloved by friends, too - George Bonacci, Joe Martorella, and Bud Payne from bowling, along with Jim Knox and Don Potter from his Xerox days. Vincenzo lived a great long life and impacted many people. He will be missed deeply and remembered as a jokester with a feisty, loving, hardworking attitude.
