Obituary

Frances C. (Ruffino) Cavallaro

Rochester: Passed away on March 1st, 2022. Frances is predeceased by her parents, John & Lavina Ruffino & nephew Cody Fisher. She is survived by her brother Joseph (Diane) Ruffino, Cindy (Jack) Fisher; children Roger Cavallaro, John (Krischele) Cavallaro, and Karen (John) Ricotta; grandchildren, Ariana Cavallaro, John Ricotta, and John Cavallaro Jr. Many nieces and nephews.

Frances was born on Clifford Ave., Rochester, NY. She graduated from East HS in 1966 and would later graduate from Peter Webb Cosmetology School.

Frances (Fran) had an amazing relationship with her sister Cindy growing up. They loved and enjoyed listening to music together. When Cindy was gifted with children, Fran had the honor of watching her nephew, Cody. Children were a large part of Fran's life, and she found a love in babysitting. She took pride in babysitting her grandkids, neighbors, nieces and nephews. Frances was an exceptional and endearing caregiver. She had a big heart, especially for animals.

Fran's family was everything to her and she cherished every moment with them. She gave her children a love for music. Growing up you could find Fran listening to either a record of Barbara Streisand, Linda Ronstadt or Barry Manilow as she would always have one playing while cleaning the house. She would later pass her record collection on to her son, John. Fran had a special love for her father. Many memories were made with her children, Cindy, Joe, nieces, and nephews going to Sunday dinner at her father's house.

Fran had many loves which she would enjoy with her children beyond music. She loved vintage cars, car shows and cruise nights. She especially loved watching her sons Roger and John race and also taking long Sunday car rides. In her spare time, Fran could also be found soaking up the sun with her daughter Karen. They all shared a love of the Yankees and Fran made sure to call her kids to make sure they never missed a game.

When her grandchildren were born, they became her pride and joy. She was a part of their lives as often as she could be. She loved watching them grow and all the accomplishments that came along with it. She never missed a baseball or hockey game or dance recital and was their biggest cheerleader. She always made sure to tell her grandchildren "I love you with all my heart."

Fran gained not only a best friend but a second daughter in Krischele. Krischele became someone she could call and depend on in any situation. Their relationship was one like no other, they understood one another and talked mostly every day. Fran often talked about how much she loved her daughter-in-law. In the end, Krischele became Fran's caregiver.

Fran was cherished by many during her lifetime. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
