Tom was born in Rochester, NY, November 2, 1966, at Genesee Hospital. Tom's mother Gail was in mild labor all day that day. She and father, Tom Sr., went into the hospital at 2AM and at 5:01 Tom Jr. was born. Brother & best friend, David completed Gail & Tom Sr.'s family. Gail & Tom Sr. had a traditional marriage of the times. Early on Gail stayed at home and Tom worked to support their family.

Tom attended grade school in both the Gates & Greece School District's. He completed his education at Greece Olympia High School.

Tom's career found him working for Ponderosa, Lawyer's CO-OP, Rochester Binding and Finishing, and the Webster School District. His job at Ponderosa was life changing for him. It would be here that he reconnected with the love of his life. Even though Amy Messerschmid and Tom knew each other in school it was during their shared time working for Ponderosa the two began dating. They were married on November 5, 1988.

Tom's legacy could best be described as his family. His family would not have been complete without his children, Jessica, Dale & Savannah. Tom & Amy taught them the importance of hard work, honesty & loyalty.

Tom enjoyed time with family: camping, spending time in FL., going to concerts and weekend time spent at Dave's house.

Tom maintained lifelong friendships with, Mike Bovenzi, Bob Tanney & Mike Rieger. The four of them enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching football together through the years.
Tom's life would not have been complete without his pets, Bucky, Spanky, Jeni & Nina.

Things Tom did not like included: ignorance, stupidity, excuses, tardiness, winter, and Pepsi.

Things he enjoyed included: fishing, racing, cooking, bookworm (word Game), football, NASCAR, concerts, family time, camping & hockey.

Tom can best be described as, wise, tough, loving, loyal, and as a leader. His toughness could be seen in the way he got through his health challenges.

He was handsome and always the center of attention. His sense of humor was evident and the only thing greater than his one-liners was his great smile!

Tom was also very articulate. His favorite saying was "don't live in a what if world."

Rock and Roll was Tom's music of choice, his favorite band was Red Hot Chili Peppers. His favorite TV shows included: The Andy Griffith Show, MASH, Forensic Files, Law and Order, Looney Tunes and Ridiculousness.

The universe lost a great man! He will forever be missed and loved by all who shared in his life.
