Alice L. Nieskens Bayer

Greece: On November 22, 2021, at the age of 93 and surrounded by her children, Alice slipped peacefully from this world. She was born and raised in Rochester NY, married her fifth grade sweetheart and raised three children. Alice enjoyed gardening, family gatherings, vacationing and devoting time to family and friends. She along with her husband of 72 years, Bob, traveled throughout the US, Canada and Europe, and spent many winters in Florida. Alice spent her life devoted to her family and brought much joy to those who knew her.

Predeceased by her husband, Robert G Bayer, son; William Alan Bayer; granddaughter, Kathryn Bayer; grandson, Michael Bayer; brother Maurice Nieskens and nephew, D. Edward Nieskens and close friend Doris Lohman Kramer. Alice is survived by her children, Mary Kathryn Herring and Robert Joseph (Tracy Merrill) Bayer; grandchildren, Laura (Thomas Purdev) Arena, Christopher (Aubrey) Arena, Robert Arena, Joseph Arena; great-grandchildren, Karena Purdev, Joseph Arena, Thomas Purdev, Jordyn Arena, Victoria Grimes, Collin Grimes; nieces, Sylvia Leuci and Barbara Nieskens and several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.


Alice's visitation will be held Friday, November 26th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane. Her funeral service will be celebrated 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
