When I was 13 he took me to see the movie platoon and I had a great time. He was a respected force in the military, active in the community and a good grandfather.
George was my first cousin, and I'm sorry to say that I never met him. George's father and my mother were siblings. After reading this obituary, I am so proud to say that I shared blood with this good man. My deepest sympathies to Christine, Diane, and the rest of the family.
