Survived by his wife Monica Wittmann Cloonan; children, James J. (Pamela) Cloonan, Kevin (Christine) Cloonan, Peggy (Becky Crawford) Cloonan, Michael (Melanie) Cloonan Mary Cloonan; grandchildren, Kyle Cloonan, Annie Cloonan, Cameron Cloonan, Callan Cloonan, Kerrie Cloonan, Sam Crawford-Cloonan, Dylan Cloonan Ryan Cloonan; special Friends, Rev. Joseph P. Brennan Camille Culbreth.



History

Jim was very proud of his children grandchildren. He was active with his children in their early years with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He enjoyed watching Westerns on TV and watching birds come to his bird feeders in his back yard. Jim enjoyed spending dinner with his family. Jim retained most of his childhood friends, he regularly met his friends for lunch on a monthly basis. Jim was: intelligent, had expressive eyes, was a great communicator, liked to share in the travels of his family and friends. Jim enjoyed being the "center" of his family, all communications amongst his children were filtered through him.

Services

BARTOLOMEO PEROTTO Funeral Home, Inc., 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.) where Jim's visitation will be Thursday, April 21, 2-4 7-9. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 22, 10 AM at St. Mary's Church, 15 St. Mary's Place. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.



Additional Information

Jim worked for Eastman Kodak Company as a Chemist. His occupational pursuits after he retired served him well as president of the Kodavista Neighborhood Association. Jim became an authority in terms of the environment and he represented his constituents well. Jim was very active at the St. John the Evangelist Church community, where he served on the Parish Council.
