She is survived by her children, Mark D. LaPoma Jr., Matthew M. LaPoma, Jason R. Krueger, and their father, Mark D. LaPoma Sr.; parents, Frank Joanne DeMarco; sisters, Donna Colosimo, Lisa (Saul) Gonzalez, Tina Balewick; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins friends.
History
Karen was a very proud Marine Mother. Karen loved spending time with children, to whom she was commonly referred to as the "candy lady". She enjoyed bingo, crafts, games of chance, Yahtzee, Cribbage, Nascar, Country Music Soap Opera`s. She was kind, giving considerate.
Donations
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen`s Memory to the Fingerlakes Organ Donor Society.

BARTOLOMEO PEROTTO Funeral Home, Inc. 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 Long Pond Rd.) where Karen`s Visitation will be Sunday, August 15, 1-5 PM. All are invited to attend Karen`s Funeral Service on Monday, August 16, at 9 AM in the Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 630 Brooks Ave. Interment Irondequoit Cemetery.
