Survived by her loving husband of 50 years Matteo P. "Pat" Latona; children, Jean (Steve) McCagg, Mary Jo Fitzsimmons, Michael (Paola)Latona, Julia Epperson Tommy Latona; grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Sam McCagg, Brian Fitzsimmons, Anthony Epperson, Andrew Matthew Latona; brothers-in-law sisters-in-law, Rose (Peter) Maddalena, Joseph (Rose) Latona, Mary (Lester) Whipple, Peter (Dolores) Latona, Grace (Joseph) Bellave; nieces, nephews many dear friends.



History

Ruth was a loving wife, and a caring mother and grandmother. She maintained several of her childhood friendships throughout her entire life, and made many new friends after moving with her husband in 1993 to Orlando, Fla. She enjoyed reading, gardening, going out to dinner and movies, and caring for her cats. Her Catholic faith was a very important part of her everyday life. She constantly modeled her Christian example, often befriending people who were in need of a kind and gentle companion.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Camp Good Days and Special Times,1332 Pittsford-Mendon Rd., Mendon, NY 14506 in Ruth`s memory.



Services

BARTOLOMEO PEROTTO Funeral Home, Inc., 1411 Vintage Lane (Between 390 Long Pond Rd.) where Ruth`s visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 7-9. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.



Additional Information

Ruth was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament School and Nazareth Academy in Rochester. She worked at Sears Roebuck Co and later at Eastman Kodak Co. before moving on to her greatest accomplishment of all - devoting herself full-time to lovingly raising the five children who have blessed Ruth's and Pat's lives.
