Meet Our Family

Family-owned. Family-operated.

George and Frances Bartolomeo founded Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home Inc. in 1922. Nephews Peter Giullari and Philip Perotto joined the business in 1955. Today, Philip's sons, Michael and David, guide the funeral home.

Dave Perotto
Vice-President/Funeral Director
Born May 17, 1969 in Rochester to Philip & Dorothy (Entress) Perotto. A 1987 graduateof Aquinas Institute, I continued my education at Cornell University in 1991. A few years later in 1994, I graduated from Simmons Mortuary Institute and joined my family as licensed funeral director.

I live in Greece with my wife, Jackie (Reynolds) whom I met while at Aquinas. My hobbies are scuba diving, hiking in the Adirondacks, fishing & bowhunting.

I enjoy starting my days at the Northwest YMCA, spending time in the weight room as well as cardiovascular area. That experience was so gratifying that I joined the YMCA board of managers to give back to the organization. This year will be a challenging one as I have volunteered to chair the Invest in Youth Campaign, raising funds so that all can afford membership at the YMCA.

People ask me all the time "Why do you work as a funeral director?" My response is always the same.  It is extremely rewarding to help people as they recover from the loss of a loved one. I can't think of a more gratifying profession than ours.

Joe Bianchi
Funeral Director

I was born, raised and have been a life long resident in the Town of Greece. I am the second of seven children of the late William J. Bianchi and Sheila Flynn Bianchi who is still smiling and singing. I joined the 50 year old club in 2008.

I married Cathie Gunther in 1981. We have three beautiful daughters; Amy, Megan, and Joanna and our trusted four legged friend Sweet-Pea.

I enjoy studying the martial art of Aikido and Iaido swordsmanship.

I am a 1976 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. I began my employment with Eastman Kodak Company in 1978. In 1991 I received an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Empire State college. In 2001 I joined Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home, Inc. on a part-time basis thanks to my friend, Bill Padulo. My primary duties were to assist during visiting hours and help in the morning with the staffing of Funerals. It was during this time the Perotto's pointed out to me a potential path for a career change within this profession, so I enrolled in Simmons Institute of Mortuary Science. I retired from Eastman Kodak Company in 2003. In 2004 I obtained an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science from Simmons Institute. In 2004 I joined the Bartolomeo & Perotto Staff full time. In 2005 I received my Funeral Director's License and have been a proud member of the Bartolomeo & Perotto staff since.

I am a member of the Italian American Sports Club, 1250 Buffalo Road and a Parishioner of St. Lawrence Church.

Michael P. Perotto

I am married to Gay Perotto. We reside in Greece with our two sons, Michael & Jonathan, and our trusted companion "Buddy."

I am a graduate of Most Precious Blood School in 1981, graduate of Aquinas Institute in 1985, and a graduate of Canton College in 1987 with an AAS in Mortuary Science.

My family and I are currently members of St. Lawrence Church where our children currently attend St. Lawrence Elementary School. Our oldest son, Michael will be attending Aquinas Institute in the fall where he will begin the Perotto family's second generation of attendance.

I am very active with youth activities in and around the Town of Greece. I have been an assistant coach for the Greece Chargers Football for more than 4 years. Myself, with the help of many others, founded Greece's first and only youth program for Lacrosse (Greece Storm). I currently serve as Storm President and assist in coaching the 5th & 6th grade level. I have been active in Greece Rotary for over 13 years. Many of the programs seen in and around the town that involve projects for disadvantaged children have been made possible with the assistance of Greece Rotary.

I served the Rochester Genesee Valley Funeral Directors Association for many years and served at its highest level as President.

Currently I serve as a board member for Preferred Funeral Directors. Preferred is seen as one of the leading Funeral Service organizations in the country. Membership in Preferred (Family Owned Funeral Homes only) has allowed me to bring the newest and freshest ideas possible to the Rochester Community. Membership is by invitation only.

I have many different hobbies and interests. I guess you could say I have a passion for the outdoors. I enjoy skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, golf and observing wildlife.

Since as far back as I can possibly remember, I always wanted to become a Funeral Director. At a very early age I could tell you the year of dad's hearse, model number and make.

Every day I am honored to assist families at one of the most difficult times in their lives. Every day I am able to make a difference. It is because of this honor and privilege to serve others that I look forward to the challenge of assisting the next family.

William Padulo

I attended Most Precious Blood School from grades 1-8, graduating in 1981. I graduated from Aquinas Institute in 1985 and went to SUNY Canton College in Canton, NY.

Having been friends with the Perotto Family since the 3rd grade, I would often spend time at the funeral home and as I grew older I would help out at the funeral home, usually driving limousine on funerals or helping out at calling hours. In 1992 I started working full time and decided to further my education and obtain my Funeral Director's License. I graduated from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service in Syracuse in January of 1994 and became a Licensed Funeral Director in 1995.

I have been a Greece resident since 1988 and in 1994 I married Ellen Schmidt who is a lifelong Greece resident and a teacher's assistant at Lakeshore Elementary. We have two beautiful daughters together, Hannah and Sarah who attend Odyssey Academy and Lakeshore Elementary. We are parishioners at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, where Ellen coaches both of our girls basketball teams. I am also an assistant coach for Sarah's Soccer Team with GGSL and an assistant coach for Sarah's Greece Little League softball team.  In our spare time we enjoy watching basketball games, going out to dinner with friends, spending time with our neighbors, families, and enjoying our swimming pool.

I feel very fulfilled being a funeral director. To have the opportunity to guide people through the toughest time of their lives is a great privilege. It is very rewarding to have people really appreciate all that you do for them and over the years I have met many people who have become my friends. It really is a great honor to be there for families in the community.
